Razorbacks Set to Clash with Michigan State in November, Full Non-Conference Slate Taking Shape
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Arkansas fans now have a concrete date to circle for one of the Razorbacks’ premier matchups this season. While the team has yet to release its full 13-game non-conference schedule, details about key games are emerging, thanks to comments from head coach John Calipari and national college basketball analysts.
CBS Sports analyst Matt Norlander revealed on a recent podcast that Arkansas will face Michigan State in East Lansing on Saturday, Nov. 8, marking the first of five high-profile non-conference contests. This marquee tilt kicks off a stretch that includes a Thanksgiving Day neutral-site showdown against Duke in Chicago and an early December home game against Louisville as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge. Additional major matchups include neutral-site games against Texas Tech in Dallas and Houston in Brooklyn.
All five non-conference opponents reached last season’s NCAA Tournament Elite Eight, with Duke and Houston advancing to the Final Four. Combined with SEC matchups against Florida, Alabama, and Auburn (home-and-away), the Razorbacks are slated to face every Elite Eight team from last season, all four Final Four teams, both national title-game participants, and the defending national champions, Florida. With the SEC recently releasing the full 18-game league schedule, 26 of Arkansas’ 31 regular-season dates are now publicly known, giving fans a clear picture of a challenging and exciting slate for the upcoming campaign.
