Colin Castleton Brings His Game Back to Florida With Orlando Magic Deal

The Orlando Magic have secured a new addition to their frontcourt, signing center Colin Castleton, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

At 25 years old, Castleton stands 6’10” (208 cm) and weighs in at 113 kg. Born in Florida, the versatile big man has worked his way through multiple NBA stops, steadily building his profile as a reliable interior presence.

Castleton spent last season with the Toronto Raptors, where he made the most of his opportunities. In 11 appearances—including four starts—he averaged 7.2 points on 50% shooting and 6.9 rebounds in just 26 minutes per game, showing flashes of his rebounding instincts and touch around the rim.

Undrafted in 2023, Castleton began his professional journey with the Los Angeles Lakers, splitting time between the main roster and the G League’s South Bay Lakers. He appeared in 16 games for L.A., contributing to the team’s NBA Cup championship run, and gained valuable experience learning alongside seasoned stars.

Following his tenure in Los Angeles, Castleton had brief stints with the Memphis Grizzlies, Toronto Raptors, and Philadelphia 76ers before landing back in his home state. Across 42 NBA games, he holds career averages of 3.5 points and 3.2 rebounds.

For Castleton, signing with Orlando marks both a professional opportunity and a homecoming. As the Magic continue to develop their young core, Castleton will look to carve out a meaningful role as a rim protector, rebounder, and steady rotation piece.
