Arizona Wildcats fans are optimistic as the program looks to rebound from last season’s struggles. SB Nation recently polled readers on how many wins they expect the Wildcats to secure this year. Six wins is the magic benchmark needed for bowl eligibility—something Arizona has achieved just once in the past three seasons, and not consistently since 2015-2017.
The poll results show fans believe the team has a fighting chance, though the path won’t be easy. The Wildcats face a challenging schedule, including 10 games against Big 12 opponents. Of those, three are against preseason AP Top 25 teams, and six opponents won at least eight games last season.
Arizona opens its campaign at Arizona Stadium on August 30 against Hawaii, hoping to replicate its last strong 3-0 start back in 2015. With fan support building and a demanding schedule ahead, all eyes will be on the Wildcats as they chase bowl eligibility once again.
